The scrip gained 9.96 per cent to hit Rs 28.15 on BSE. It opened at Rs 27.50 and touched an intraday high and low of Rs 28.15 and Rs 27.20 respectively, in the first hour of trade.
Bulk deal data on NSE website showed GMO bought 1.1 crore shares or 0.89 per cent stake in the company at Rs 23.92 per share.
For the quarter ended June 30, 2017, Himachal Futuristic reported total revenue at 9003.71 crore and net profit stood at 25.63 crore.
