ChartsValuation & Peer ComparisonCommunity BuzzPEER COMPANIES Mumbai: The adjudicating officer of the Securities Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has imposed a penalty of Rs 2.5 lakh on JSW Steel for “non redressal of an investor grievance in a speedy manner” the company said in a BSE filing on Friday.
The order that was passed by SEBI on August 31, 2017 is now being reviewed by the company.
“The order is being reviewed by JSW Steel and its legal advisors. JSW Steel Limited will determine the next course of action, including but not limited to, challenging the order by way of an appeal,” the release said adding that the the company wished to inform its investors that it has “not acted in contravention of the law and is committed to resolving investor grievances in a timely manner”.
