                                          At 8.10 am, Nifty50 futures on the Singapore Stock Exchange were trading 22.50 points, or 0.23 per cent, higher at 9,967.50, indicating a positive opening for the domestic market.

                                          Himachal Futuristic, Gataway Distriparks: Bulk deal data on NSE website showed Grantham Mayo Van Otterloo-Emerging Markets Quality Fund bought 1.1 crore shares or 0.89 per cent stake in Himachal Futuristic at Rs 23.92 per share. GMO Emerging Domestic Opportunities Fund sold 12.62 lakh shares or 1.16 per cent in Gateway Distriparks at Rs 219.67 apiece.The fund held 1.2 per cent in Gateway Distriparks at the end of the June quarter.

                                          RIL: Reliance Industries has acquired Gujarat-based Kemrock Industries & Exports after the latter’s lenders put up the company and its assets up on the block, the Mukesh Ambaniled conglomerate said in a statement on Wednesday.

                                          Fortis Healthcare: The Delhi High Court reserved its decision on whether Daiichi Sankyo could enforce an award it won in a foreign tribunal to recover about Rs 3,500 crore from former Ranbaxy Laboratories promoters Malvinder and Shivinder Singh.

                                          Eicher Motors: After taking Royal Enfield and its cult Bullet motorbikes to top gear of machismo appeal and global profitability, Siddhartha Lal led Eicher Motors is revving up to make a binding offer to acquire the iconic Italian superbikes Ducati for $1.8 billion-$2 billion — a move, of successful, will further power its portfolio, brand equity, global reach and access to technology, said multiple sources aware.

                                          Tata Steel, Tata Chemicals & Tata Motors: A media report suggested that Nusli Wadia, chairman of the Wadia group of companies, has urged Sebi to take action against three independent directors of the Tata group companies who he alleges made wrong declarations in annual reports.
                                          Hindustan Unilever: The Rs 1000 crore personal care products unit of Hindustan Uniliver at Doomdooma in Assam on Wednesday began Commercial production.

                                          Petronet LNG: The company will build a liquefied natural gas (LNG) import terminal in Sri Lanka in collaboration with Japanese and Lankan companies. The Sri Lankan government issued a letter of intent to the Indian government in this regard on September 1, Petronet said in a statement.

                                          ITC: ITC Ltd has filed a Rs 1,000-crore defamation suit against Mumbai-based proxy advisory firm Institutional Investor Advisory Services India (IiAS) for allegedly making defamatory comments against the company and its directors.The suit has been filed before the Calcutta High Court.

                                          Punj Lloyd: A Punj Lloyd JV has won a Rs 1,177-crore project in Myanmar from the National Highways Authority of India, an official said.

                                          HCL Technologies: The company has announced a partnership that includes purchase of select assets with Alpha Insight, a products and solutions company headquartered in London, with expertise in business flow monitoring and operational intelligence. The IT firm said that the proposed asset purchase consideration shall be up to £3.25 million, including payments subject to certain financial milestones.

                                          Nestle India: Nestle, the maker of Maggi noodles and KitKat chocolate, said it is consolidating its product portfolio to focus on high-performing brands. The Swiss company, which launched more than 40 products over two years, is reviewing categories across chocolates, confectionery, coffee and the dairy segment.

                                          State Bank of India: State Bank of India, which saw the fastest growth in its card business post demonetisation, is now looking at tapping its own customer base to sell cards. At present, in-house account holders have 35 per cent of the share for SBI Cards, the subsidiary through which SBI sells cards.

                                          IPO WATCH
                                          The Rs 600-crore initial public offering (IPO) of Noida-based consumer electronics manufacturer Dixon Technologies was subscribed 78 per cent on the first day of the bidding on Thursday. The issue received bids for 18,58,776 shares as against the total issue size of 23,76,557 shares. On the other hand, the IPO of Bharat Road Network was subscribed 22 per cent on the first day of the bidding process on Thursday. The issue received bids for 64,09,765 shares against 2,93,00,000 shares on offer.
